When Ziva accidentally witnesses a political assassination, she must surrender to the FBI and deal with the consenquences without Gibbs's help, who is now enjoying his retirement. She learns that the FBI is looking for her and escapes, while the NCIS team, leaded by Tony, must prove that Ziva is innocent. However, when things get more complicated, Ziva seeks help from the one person that always trusted her, Gibbs.

It was really good! Tony is pretty good at being in charge but he was trying to be too much like Gibbs. And that asian girl. McGee to the extreme with the tattling there lol

I didn't see the episode until the next day after it aired b/c of unfortunated events involving a retarded satellite dish that didn't want to pick up local channels and a malfunctioning antennae that ended up breaking...but anyway thank you CBS.com for innertube where I finally got to see it!
The episode was great, I enjoyed it thouroughly. It was fun watching Ziva fight someone who matched her in skill. I mean that chick was like Ziva if Ziva were evil. Whoa....now that's scary...

Loved this ep too! Agree with you Aly, the whole Gibbs not being there totally weirded me out! Hang on, let me copy paste my livejournal rant/post! Oh wow. Gibbs' hair!!!
First things first, I laughed out loud so many times in this episode! These are my favourite parts
- Abby and her farting hippo, gets me EVERY time. (what can I say, I like toilet humour! *shrugs*)
- "You don't bowl with nuns" That whole scene! "are you on some of anti nun crusade here?!"
- Gibbs' hair!!!!! It's just..... eeeeeeeeeeeee
- "Danger, intrigue, a damsel in distress. I'm actually looking forward to it!" Ducky is always just plain awesome!
- "that smile thing is throwing me off too" The scenes between Tony and Gibbs were great. The dynamics totally awkward and off, I really enjoyed it!
The Tony in charge, acting like Gibbs, McGee acting like Tony and the whole general desk swapping thing REALLY threw me off. I still see Ziva's desk as Kates, and to see McGee in Tony's, just FREAKED me right out! And the dynamics! Ack! I hope they don't stay this way for long. Although I'm loving Tony in charge, everything just feels totally wrong. I want Gibbs back to stay!!!
I'm actually pretty surprised that I enjoyed this episode, it being focussed around Ziva. I usually don't like her so much (she's just a Kate replacement!). But 'Shalom' really gave us more of an insight in to who she is, and what kind of work she used to do. Her last line, something about not just being a killer anymore, that she is now an investigator.... I'm beginning to like her. 
Oh, and a closing point..... ZIVA DRIVES A MINI!!!! That is my next car! I SOOOO badly want a manual, (hardtop convertible even though you can't get them, hehe) british racing green mini cooper with the white stripes. I was grinning stupidly seeing her car! I loves minis!!!
... you know there are probably no spoilers in that rambling.... actually I'm not so sure it flows or makes sense.... Oh well! Those are my few cents on this ep .

This was a great episode. Tony was really channeling Gibbs there for awhile. Loved his 'gift' to the new girl.The reunion scene between Abby and Gibbs was priceless.
